About
Drexel Speaks is an organization that provides a mutually supportive open space and positive learning environment where every member has the opportunity to: (1) enhance public speaking skills (2) develop strong oral communication and (3) develop leadership skills, in order to foster self-confidence and personal growth. Dozens of members have reported a significant improvement in their overall public speaking skills after about a month of participating in the club. Drexel Speaks is a non-competitive, judgment-free zone where members are encouraged - but not pressured - to deliver short, impromptu speeches. At the end of the meeting, each member who chose to deliver a speech will receive constructive criticism on how they can improve their public speaking performance. Members are also able to deliver long prepared speeches or prepared presentations that can receive evaluations. Drexel Speaks is an excellent organization to join for business students and for students aspiring to go to law school, but students across all majors are encouraged to join!
WINTER 2025: We meet at 6:00 pm on Tuesdays! Room changes per week.
